Hello People,

It was a packed full weekend on Sunday, the 23rd day of July, 2017, as it was a bee hive of activities at the Lush Events Centre at Kwararafa Quarters of Makurdi, the Benue State.  The 3rd edition of the Benue Icon Recognition Awards took place. People from all walks of life had filled the hall to capacity to witness the recipients of enviable awards as they went out to deserving people, who had distinguished themselves in various fields of Human endeavor.
Those who received the merited honor included;

Engr. Ejembi Ella -“outstanding Leader Award”.| Hon. Mrs. Ngunan Adingi – “Vibrant Legislator of the Year” Award. | Engr. Paul Terwase Agbem -“Digital Services Award”. | Mr. Julius Atorough Tyough- “Entrepreneur of the Year and Mr. Ukan Kurugh received the “Humanitarian Service Award”.


Others were; Mr. Owie Abutu who was awarded the music artist of the year | Mr. Bashir Makama as the outstanding commissioner of police | Mr. Hilary Abah – outstanding bank staff of the year | Mad Dragon – Record Label of the Year | Miss Love Idoko – Motivator Personality of the Year | Miss Patience Samuel – Business Consistency Award.

Mr. James Abang- Outstanding Photographer of the Year | Mrs. Josephine Habbah – Most Effective NGO of the Year | Bishop Terry Umar- Humility Man of the Year | Armstrong Aluna – Outstanding Model of the Year | Dr. John Success – Beauty/Style Icon of the Year  | Kator Hule – Youth Personality of the Year and Double D Fashion House as the Outstanding Designers of the Year.

In separate remarks each of the recipients thanked the organizers of the Benue Icon Awards for noticing the efforts they were making in various aspects of human endeavor and for finding them worthy out of many other persons who were even more deserving of awards. They maintained that, the awards will spur them to greater service to humanity.
